Seeking a physician for on-site employee health center in Merrillville, IN, that is operated by a large union coalition providing wellness and episodic care for the employees and their families ages 2 and up. These health centers have a proactive, educative approach where associates and their dependents are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices. These centers offer primary care along with episodic care for sickness with longer appointment times that allow the physician to meet the needs of the patient during the visit, with additional time given for wellness visits and health maintenance exams. This position offers a great work-life balance with no weekends, on-call, hospital rounds, or holiday work days. The weekly hours are 40 hours per week with one evening shift during the week until 7 PM. Schedules are balanced to provide adequate time for providers to see patients. In this role, you will conduct exams and develop plans within the scope of your professional license. This includes educating patients on preventive care, specialty referrals, prescribing medication, diagnostic testing, and screening evaluations. The provider will also coordinate and collaborate care as needed with other members of the health team which may include other Physicians, Medical Assistants, non-clinical and support staff, and Nurse Practitioners. The patient mix will be members of the Union Coalition and their families. Salary: $230,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year. Please note: applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
