Additionally, she is a consultant and strategist for numerous wellness brands and a seasoned journalist who specializes in spa, travel, health, wellness, beauty, and sustainability. Julie is also the co-founder of Well Defined, a media company that offers comprehensive wellness content and events for industry professionals and consumers, including the Well Defined Women in Leadership Summit.
Previously, Julie led the American Spa team for 15 years as the editor-in-chief and publisher. Under her leadership, the brand evolved to include a print publication, a website, an active social media community, multiple awards programs, and numerous events. She is the founder of the American Spa Women in Wellness Conferences and the American Spa CBD Summit. She was named a 2019 Folio Top Woman in Media in the Industry Trailblazers category, and she and her team won an ISPA Innovate Award in 2018 for their work with women in leadership. As a certified interviewer and trainer through Talent+ for over a decade, Julie played a vital role in launching numerous hotel properties globally, including in Bali, Hong Kong, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, and across the U.S., during her time as Director of Human Resources at The Ritz-Carlton.
In addition to her hotel career, Julie also led the corporate human resources team for Burke Williams Day Spa, a leading day spa company in California.
Since joining Hutchinson Consulting in 2006, Julie has thrived as a Hospitality Recruiter, passionate about connecting exceptional talent with outstanding clients. Sheri Claflin began her career on board the luxury ships of Princess Cruises. There she developed a passion for the core concept of wellness. Sheri started her hospitality career as Spa Director at the Westin Century Plaza and St. Regis Los Angeles. She then launched the largest spa / wellness center to date for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and opened the Five-Star Montage Resort in Beverly Hills. Later, she was Executive Spa Director at Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa and at the Golden Door Spa at the Waldorf Astoria. Jennifer is originally from Southern California where she began her career at Korn/Ferry International in the IT department. With her background in technology and business, she moved to Boulder, Colorado to co-found and run a start-up food company. In 2012, Jen moved with her family to Northern California and joined Hutchinson Consulting as an Associate in 2017.

She played a vital role in launching luxury labels, including Burberry, Coach, and Ferragamo, across HAL’s diverse brands. More recently, she took her passion for renewable energy to Silfab Solar, where she combined her love for green tech with her talent for finding top-notch candidates, helping the company grow rapidly across North America and Europe. Plus, she’s been a champion for sustainability as the “Greening” Chair at Travel + Leisure Co.

Peter also owned and operated a very successful seafood restaurant in the Caribbean for three years. He retired from the resort industry in 2008 and relocated to Henderson, Nevada, in 2011, with his lovely wife, Susan. Peter joined Hutchinson Consulting in 2012.

Prior experience included managing offices at various Architecture and Planning firms in the San Francisco Bay area. Bette was instrumental in implementing a new database for Hutchinson Consulting which today facilitates sourcing and matching 20,000 hospitality management candidates for our clients nationwide. Bette has also managed “the Patch”, a four-acre organic fruit and vegetable farm in the town of Sonoma since 1990.

For the past 15 years, Andrea Dubois has used her technical skills, gained from pursuing a degree in interior design, to support spa and wellness design projects throughout the United States and across the world.
Beginning in 2008, Andrea spent over 9 years at WTS International gaining the operationally-based expertise that is required for the development of specialized wellness facilities. During that time, she gained a wealth of knowledge in spa functionality, daily operations and specialty spa and wet area equipment, working on both domestic and international projects that were primarily focused on traditional spa and fitness elements.
Looking to better understand the wellness industry from a global perspective, Andrea moved to Thailand in 2018 to work for GOCO Hospitality, managing wellness design projects of all sizes. Over the course of nearly five years, she gained experience in full-scale wellness resort development, including designing for integrative and holistic spa therapies, soft medi-spa components, authentic and multicultural bathing experiences, and an expanded approach to fitness and mind / body wellness.
Working on a diverse set of projects during her time there, she honed her capabilities in project assessment / management and concept development, and lead an effort to provide enhanced learning opportunities for the team.

Turn-key projects under his supervision typically include scope development, feasibility, design, bidding, client kick-offs, change management, procurement, commissioning, and closeout processes, as well as vendor management. Danny has been active in competitive athletics throughout his entire life, even participating at the collegiate and professional levels. Kim Matheson was president of her own company, Natural Resources, for 15 years, offering spa consultancy services including design and pre- opening support, for a diverse range of upscale clients including hotels, resorts, residential and real estate developments. Some of Kim’s most recent projects are the Four Seasons Moscow, Dubai, Disney Orlando and New York.
Other recent five-star projects include Dove Mountain Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis Princeville. Matheson has also worked for Montage, Rosewood Menlo Park, Kiawah Island and Doonbeg, and Lapis at Fontainebleau.
As Senior Vice President for Arch Amenities Group based in New York City, Kim’s primary responsibilities include developing the local market and new business opportunities while overseeing international accounts. Kim also assists in the development of new spa concepts and provides advice to AAG clients on retail sales and marketing.

As Vice President, International Operations based in Gurugram, India he is primarily responsible for operations and business development for Arch Amenities Group, working primarily in Asia, Middle East and Europe, for last 10 years. Dr. Jain also assists with Wellness and MedSpa concepts due to his strong background in destination spas and sound knowledge of traditional naturopathic and new age functional medicine.
