Executive Chef, Northern California

We are seeking a highly talented and practiced Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation for a highly successful upscale fine dining restaurant located in the heart of the Napa/Sonoma Wine Country. Must have 3+ years of Chef experience at a well-established free-standing, full-service high-volume upscale restaurant, preferably with catering/banquet business. Preference given to chefs currently employed in the SF Bay Area, most notably in Napa/Sonoma Wine Country. Prefer established relationships with Northern California farmers, growers, ranchers and fisheries. Work involves overseeing the entire BOH culinary operation, including lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, wedding receptions and private parties. Proven skills in leadership, strong teamwork, working well under pressure and being self-motivated. Create daily and seasonal menus. Supervise food ordering process. Work within budget guidelines and parameters. Oversee kitchen labor costs, food cost, payroll and work schedules. Conduct performance reviews, coach and counsel kitchen staff members. Well versed with internet and email technology. Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Reports to General Manager. Annual base salary $95K-$110K plus bonus.
