Director of Learning and Development, San Francisco South Bay

We are seeking a highly experienced, passionate Director of Learning & Development for a highly-admired West Coast General Contractor/Construction Company headquartered in the SF South Bay.  Responsible for the alignment, communication and successful implementation of the Company’s strategic learning and development programs and initiatives.  Must be an independent thinker that has led large organizational initiatives and who knows how to project manage. Prefer candidates from large California-based construction companies.  Must have five years of Training, Learning and Development experience with focus on instructional design and classroom facilitation.  Must have five years of design, development and facilitation management experience. Establish and implement annual objectives for Learning and Development, including a business plan.  Understand workforce demographic trends and their impact on learning styles and translate these into organizational priorities for new learning technologies and approaches. Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to deliver relevant, credible and timely education.  Develop, direct and oversee overall learning and development activities and strategies for all exempt and non-exempt positions. Prefer experience with BlueVolt and Engagedly learning management systems. Must have BA or BS degree and be a member in the American Society for Training and Development.  Master’s Degree preferred. 20% travel. Reports directly to COO. Base salary $130-140K plus bonus and car allowance.
